Research and Development for a Small Business can be Costly
What can I say? My bad! Just when you think you've seen it all, disaster strikes. Well, maybe not a disaster, but certainly a waste of some precious materials. You've heard the expression, "You don't know what you don't know"?
This proved true for JoJo and me last week when we were mixing a new color for our Perfect Purse Protectors. Sadly, we "scrapped" the entire load. A very expensive mistake for sure.
Instead of crying over spilled silicone, we went right back to work and perfected "the art of the pour." One more setback like that though, and we'll be in the "poor house". That's the beauty of working with your big sis. When you make a mistake, she may shake her head and laugh, but she'll never leave you. You can't sleep in the same room with someone for 18 years and not develop a litte loyalty. The Ya Ya Sisterhood has nothing on us.
We couldn't be more excited about the coming year. We've got big plans for some new colors and marketing ideas. The business is beginning to take off, now that folks understand the concept of the "PPP". We are encouraged by the amazing testimonials from our loyal customers. Comments like, "You personally saved my Dooney & Bourke," "Love the new spring colors," and "Bought one for each of the ladies in my book club," encourage us to increase production of our fabulous product. Thank you for sticking with us and we promise to continue our quest of "Protecting Purses one Pocket at a time."
